While I may not understand them, some people purport to enjoy being frightened. They say that they enjoy watching scary movies in the leadup to Halloween, snuggled into the couch with all the lights off. I don’t believe them, but, considering the outlandish popularity of horror movies, these people must exist — or be very good liars.
