Sales in North America “have been gradually recovering since May and have been flat or up year on year since September,” Toyota stated.

Toyota stated its international output fell 14.1 percent to 9.2 million automobiles in 2015 as the pandemic required the Japanese carmaker to stop car production briefly in lots of parts of the world.

The Volkswagen group saw its international sales plunge 15.2 percent year on year to 9.3 million systems in 2020, it stated previously this month.
