Sarri-vederci? Plus penalty drama and Pukki delight – Football Weekly | Football
We start with Manchester City’s 6-0 demolition of Chelsea, which leaves Maurizio Sarri’s position at Stamford Bridge hanging by a thread. It was a result which will have startled Liverpool, who got back to winning ways on Saturday against Bournemouth at Anfield.
Elsewhere in the Premier League, we discuss hapless Fulham, who look doomed and made life far too easy for Manchester United. We also look at Spurs staying in touch with the top two, penalty drama between Brighton and Burnley, and Cardiff’s stoppage-time victory at Southampton.
For the rest of part two we look at the Football League, where Norwich beat neighbours Ipswich thanks to a Teemu Pukki brace, before analysing the WSL as Manchester City and Chelsea shared a 2-2 draw.
Finally we react to the Madrid derby with Sid Lowe in Spain, and the rest of the big results from Europe.
Back on Thursday!
PS: we have a new show at EartH in east London – Max, Barry plus two – more information and tickets can be found here.
